Which Marvel Hero Shares Your Personality Type?

Written by Eric Gee

Fox (ESTP) – Black Widow

Black Widow

She’s an international spy capable of espionage or flat-out just beating the crap out of someone.

Shark (ISTP) – Hawkeye

Hawkeye

“Look, the city is flying, we’re fighting an army of robots, and I have a bow and arrow”—now that’s confidence in your craft.

Peacock (ESFP) – The Human Torch

Human Torch

Setting yourself on fire does kind of scream for attention. Plus, what other type would have a catchphrase like “Flame on!”

Butterfly (ISFP) – Daredevil

daredevil

He’s so in tune with his senses that he needs a sensory deprivation chamber just to catch some Zzzzzs.

Stag (ESTJ) – Thor

Thor

Son of Odin, brother of Loki, Prince of Asgard, and Keeper of Mjolnir, Thor has great respect for his titles and, of course, the responsibilities that come with them.

Beaver (ISTJ) – The Punisher

The Punisher

Frank Castle sees the world in black and white terms, and he is merciless to those who find themselves on the wrong side of that dichotomy.

Elephant (ESFJ) – The Thing

The Thing

Papa bear always has a humorous take on a stressful situation, or a punch in the mouth for those who would hurt his loved ones.

Bear (ISFJ) – Captain America

captain-america

C’mon, his “weapon” is a shield. Enough said.

Killer Whale (ENTJ) – Nick Fury

Nick Fury

He’s a master strategist that’s always able to see the big picture in any situation—which is impressive since he has, you know, like one eye.

Spider (INTJ) – Doctor Doom

Dr. Doom

Okay, these heroes are non-existent—they would have us believe that their supreme intellect practically requires multiple people to defeat them, automatically casting them as the super villain.

Chimpanzee (ENTP) – Iron Man

Iron Man 3 (2013) Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.)

Inventor, playboy, philanthropist, hero, Tony Stark is a man who wears many hats—and suits.

Owl (INTP) – Mr. Fantastic

Mr. Fantastic

One of the greatest minds on the planet, Reed Richards’ only problem seems to be trying to understand the people who live on it.

Dolphin (ENFJ) – Sue Storm

Sue Storm

The soul—and true leader—of the Fantastic Four, her compassion and empathy unites the other three’s disparate personalities.

Giant Panda (INFJ) – Spiderman

spiderman

“With great power comes great responsibility”—words he lives by no matter how much it affects his on-again/off-again relationship with MJ.

Baboon (ENFP) – Dr. Strange

Dr. Strange

Former arrogant surgeon, present day Sorcerer Supreme, he combines mysticism with a nauseatingly confident air of superiority.

Humpback Whale (INFP) – The Silver Surfer

Silver-Surfer

Exiled for betraying his master and saving Earth, the Silver Surfer wanders the galaxy in search of a purpose.

  • I love articles like this. 😉 Thanks for taking the time to write it, looking forward to more!

    I’d say:
Black Widow = ISTP; dominant Ti, very reserved and aloof, keeps to herself…can’t see her as an extrovert.
Spider-Man = INTP; really can’t see him as an INFJ at all, seems to use Ne and inferior Fe.
Captain America = ISTJ; though its popularly believed he is ISFJ, he uses Te and Fi. The Fi is even more obvious in his clashes with ENTP Iron Man. Civil War, in particular, really highlighted this.

Not familiar enough with any of the other characters to say.

  • I just knew it would be Spidey! I only have almost every Spiderman comic book, since 1978! 😀

  • Hiba Sobh says:

I am INFP, I got Silver Surfer! 🙂 cool!! 🙂
